Peter receives a phone call from Ian. Apparently John Walters has been on the phone and they want Claire to record a session for John Peel. Peter just laughs. Why on earth would that be true!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I can’t remember what the date was when we finally arranged to record the session. I remember studying the contract between the BBC and ourselves. I remember arriving at Maida Vale. I remember meeting the producer Dale Griffin and engineer Mike Robinson for the session and viewing the recording room. A ten hour session involving recording and mixing followed. I recall being asked if I was happy with the tuning on my guitar which I thought highly diplomatic considering how out of tune it was!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We got stopped by the police on the way home. We waited to be told when it would be broadcast – 22 June 1987! The four tracks Ian, Ian, Ian, Andy and Peter recorded were Who Haunted Mrs Robbins, Wife Lover Killer, Passions For Pamela and Filled With Fear. The show was broadcast alongside the Electro Hippies for the first show, and repeated with Terence Trent D’Arby later in the year. Nuts!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
