The moment we arrived we received a death threat. Something about having our throats cut. Oh boy!
The gig was set up between Ian Williams and Some friends from UK Decay. We were excited to play in a new town to a new audience. That excitement soon turned to extreme caution.
The Five-O club had a very strong Caribbean community presence, unlike all of our previous gigs. Once we started playing, the tension vanished and some people even danced – a first!
Once the gig was over, we loaded the van fast, hoping to avoid any incident, but we were stopped by one person who told us we weren’t bad for punk! I guess that is why they let us live.
