For such an epochal moment as finding a studio, writing songs, planning an LP, you would think something interesting happened. Yet I cannot remember a single thing about this entire process.
The studio was called JTI, and was based at 302, Barrington Rd in Brixton. Quite small as I remember.
We arrived well rehearsed and we knew what we wanted – to capture what we think we sounded like, something no other recording had managed.
Claire were generally very pleased with the LP. Now we had to learn how to release it. We never did work that out.
25 years later, vinyl was something of a novelty and small businesses were happy to get paid money for producing small runs of vinyl. Claire decided to complete the project, for the sake of it. You can find out more on our Bandcamp page.
