The John Peel Session did bring about a brief moment of opportunity in the form of a gig at the new club called The Pitz. We were booked to support The New Mutants, another local band.
The Woughton Hall was vast, the biggest space we had played in and it had an echo too. Ian Wilson seemed to be galvanised by the moment. He excelled in the freedom the venue provided. He had a very long lead on his microphone for a reason kept secret by the sound engineer. This meant that Ian was free to wander through the audience, under the stage, anywhere.
